Dilworth Residents Raise Money For Neighborhood ArtworkCHARLOTTE, N.C.--Neighbors raised money for a bright new piece of artwork in Dilworth. Crews installed the giant sculpture Sunday. The project's been two years in the making. The community did all the legwork itself. Neighbors raised $30,000, searched for designs and hired the artist. The sculpture's made completely out of train rails that used to run along East Boulevard. The sculpture is on the corner of Romany Road and Dilworth Road. |
