Dilworth Residents Win Fight To Keep Walgreens Out of Neighborhood

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Neighbors in Dilworth win the battle to stop a pharmacy but they may have lost the development war. 

City Council denied a rezoning request for the corner of Morehead and Kenilworth.  Lincoln Harris wanted to put in an office building and a Walgreens. 

Neighbors have been fighting the plan.  However, Monday night's vote doesn't stop development at the corner. 

Lincoln Harris has said it will build a large office tower which the area is already zoned for.
