Elementary School Placed on Lockdown

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- David Cox Elementary School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning.

According to CMS, a custodian spotted a man in a nearby wooded area with a gun. Police are on the scene investigating.

The lockdown started at 10:45 a.m. and ended at 12:10 p.m. Classes continued as scheduled during the lockdown. Police searched the area and found nobody suspicious in the area.
