CHARLOTTE, NC-   Flashy cars are bringing music video money to Charlotte!

With more big names performers and high profile events in the city, there's a demand for flashiness and  new Charlotte business is meeting that demand with luxury and exotic cars!

You may not be able to drop a few hundred dollars on a Bentley, Maserati or Lamborghini. But now, there's another way to ride in style.

"They rent it for the weekend, for proms, for concerts, for events. So it's definitely a huge demand between the ages of 25 and 65," said Mike Marshall, owner of Luxotic Lifestyles.

Owners say clients rent cars to impress someone on a date or even impress former classmates at a high school reunion.

"Ranges from the Average Joe to the athlete to the business man to the exec to the little old lady who just wants to drive a Bentley for a day," said Marshall.

But the business caters to clients flocking to Charlotte for it's entertainment. Some rappers, singers, actors and comedians are coming from Miami, L.A. and Vegas.

"A lot of movies are being shot here in Charlotte. A lot more music videos are being shot here and of course we know most of those cars are rented," said Marshall.

Before the business opened, Marshall says the Queen City was losing business to Atlanta and Charleston, which are the closest cities that rent luxury cars. He says the demand has sparked with events like the DNC, CIAA and big name concerts.

It costs between 350 and 700 dollars to rent a car per day.
