FAA Lifts Flight Ban to Israel

LOD, ISRAEL. -- The flight ban is lifted, and US Airways, Delta, and United have resumed flights to Israel's busiest airport.  The nearly two-day ban came after rocket fire near Ben Gurion Airport.  Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx says the US continues to monitor the situation.

"We're satisfied that additional steps are being taken to ensure the security of air travel, and we were able to lift the NOTAM," said Foxx.

Some lawmakers in Washington accuse the Obama administration of using the ban to impose an economic boycott of Israel.
