Family Offers Limited-Time $10,000 Reward for Missing Concord Woman
CONCORD, NC "We have come up with nothing. It is nothing more than hitting a brick wall," says Crystal Morrison's father Rick.
Morrison's family is desperate for answers.
They want to know what happened to the 31-year-old woman who disappeared last August.
And they want to know soon.
"We had to come up with a way to try to generate more interest. And if it takes $10,000 bucks, by God, that's what we'll spend," Morrison says.
A $10,000 reward will be offered.. but only for 10 days.
"Nine months is a long time. We know that memories start to fade and life goes on. So I think this is a really creative idea, and a way to bring some new life to it," explains Crystal's best friend Lacey Castro.
Castro says it's tough for the family.
"They're holding strong, you know, from my understanding Kyson's doing well, her son is doing well, I'm sure he misses his mom," she says.
Family says the FBI's cold case unit has been involved, but searches in the area have turned up nothing.. including a dive team looking for clues in a Concord pond.
Crystal's father also says her boyfriend.. Matt Moller.. is no longer a suspect.
Crystal's friends and family continue to return to the area where Crystal was last seen, near her job at Connexions in Concord.
Today they placed a wreath at the intersection where she was last seen.
"Crystal is someone's child. She has a son. We need her home," Castro explains.
Hoping this new reward will bring answers.. soon.
