Fire Kills Two in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C.-- Two people were killed in a fire at a Gastonia home early Monday morning.

Crews say the fire broke out around 5 a.m. Monday at a house off Seigle Avenue. It took 20 firefighters from the Gastonia Fire Department about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

According to a release, three adults were living in the house. One female was able to escape and call for help. A man and a woman died inside the home from the fire.

This incident is under investigation.
