First Annual Together...We Zumba! MarathonThe First Annual "Together...We Zumba!" Marathon is being held this weekend to benefit the Special Olympics of Gaston County. All proceeds from the event are donated directly to the cause. Zumba is a great way to get in shape, lose weight, and have fun! Several Zumba instructors will be at event to keep everyone motivated. It's going to be a great event! They will be raffling workout DVDs, books, water bottles, gift certificates, etc. Sharkey's Place, a restaurant and bar in downtown Gastonia, will be hosting an after party with more dancing and drink specials for participants. The Zumbathon is on Saturday, August 25 from 5-8pm at Rotary Centennial Pavillion in downtown Gastonia. Tickets are $15 at the door or $10 in advance at Armstrong Athletic Club, Gravity Groove Fitness for Women, Capabilities Fitness and Gold's Gym. The event is sponsored by Caromont Health and Badcock Home Furniture & More.
