CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- UPDATE: Police have released the names of the two people that were killed after a shooting near the Hidden Valley community. According to police, Inna Gonzalez and Davion Funderburk were killed after a car pulled up next to the vehicle they were in and opened fire.

Police say they were called to Reagan Drive in the Hidden Valley neigborhood just after 1 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers found Gonzalez and Funderburk suffering from gunshot wounds. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene and Funderburk was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries. On Friday, he died as a result of his injuries.
