Hundreds March in Support of SC Father

CHARLOTTE, NC-- Hundreds marched to the Immigration Court Building in support of Gabino Sanchez, the South Carolina man facing deportation after a routine traffic stop.

Sanchez was arrested last year under a new state law allowing police to request documentation during traffic stops.

Demonstrators held signs and spoke in support of the father of two children, both U.S. citizens. 

Sanchez had a hearing on May 15th.
