Hurricane Arthur Moves Closer, Creates Massive Waves
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC -- We are tracking Hurricane Arthur moving closer to making landfall in the Outer Banks as the category two storm churns up the waves.
Arthur's storm surge is sending in huge waves off the South Carolina coast. This is video from a bed and breakfast in an old lighthouse about 30 miles off shore. At one point a 15-foot wave passes by.
"Don't get brave just because you see some good waves out there," warned Governor McCrory Thursday. "Stay out of the water and hatchet down. And make sure we don't have to come rescue you and put our emergency workers at jeopardy."
The storm surge could reach four feet along some parts of the coast.
