CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Hurricane Isaac is the culprit behind some of the pain at the pump. Oil production in the Gulf of Mexico has stopped.

The stop in production has pushed oil prices to more than $112 a barrel today. The stoppage also means local stores are not getting a new supply of gasoline.

We spotted regular selling for almost $4 a gallon in East Charlotte Tonight. The average is $3.73 which is up two cents over the past 24 hours.

Statewide people are paying about $3.72 a gallon. Regular is averaging $3.49 in South Carolina.

People are Topping off their tanks before prices get any higher.
