John C. Smith Opens Mosaic VillageCHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A new housing development may be instrumental in reviving West Charlotte. Johnson C. Smith celebrated the grand opening of Mosaic Village Thursday. University leaders expect the multi-million dollar residential and retail facility will bridge the gap between West End and Uptown. In addition to apartment housing, the $29 million development also features a four story parking deck, retail and classroom space.
