Lancaster Deputies Investigate Shooting Incident

LANCASTER, SC -- Detectives are looking for any leads after a Lancaster man was shot on Wednesday. According to authorities, deputies arrived at the Springs Memorial in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they located a 35-year-old male in the emergency room. The victim stated that he was walking in the area of Old Landsford Rd and South Jackson St. when a black sedan occupied by two black males pulled up beside him. 

The victim stated that the passenger of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and produced a gun from his waistband as he ran toward him. He then stated that he grabbed the suspect’s arm and a brief struggle ensued.  The victim stated that he heard a gunshot and realized he had been shot.

Deputies are currently conducting a detailed investigation and are pursuing any active leads.
