ROWAN COUNTY, N.C.-- Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office believe they have caught the man responsible for a series of break-ins and robberies of businesses and storage buildings.

Cullen Junior Wilbanks, II, 36, was arrested Friday at a home he was hiding in on Safrit Road and charged with larceny and breaking and entering.

According to a release, a series of robberies were reported in December 2012 at businesses in the China Grove area, where storage buildings were broken into. Additionally, an air conditioning unit was stolen from another business.

Police named Wilbanks as a suspect, and found several stolen items at his home that were later returned to their owners.
