CHARLOTTE, N.C.--A local smoke shop is currently facing charges for selling synthetic drugs.

Police accused the owners of Central Avenue's High Life Smoke Shop of selling fake marijuana and bath salts.

This occurred during a time when authorities across the nation are cracking down on the sale of synthetic drugs.

The shop was closed yesterday.

Five people from Charlotte and one from Mooresville are among the 30 people across North Carolina who have been charged as part of Project Synergy.
