CHARLOTTE, NC -- A charter school in Charlotte is being forced to close due to money and management problems.  Student First Academy only opened in August, and now will close April 15.  That's less than two months before the end of the school year.  The decision was coordinated with state regulators.  Nearly 300 students will be sent to different schools.

One parent tells WCCB she is frustrated, and not interested in sending her kids to CMS.  "I really don't want them in CMS," said Jackie Davis, "because I worked there for 12 years, and I know the problems, what goes on in CMS."

In a statement to WCCB, CMS says in part, "We welcome students who come to us from Student First Academy.  Schools have plans in place to welcome students and get them enrolled as quickly as possible."
