Lottery's Big YearCHARLOTTE, NC--It was a good year for the lottery with nation wide ticket sales up nine percent, which was following four straight years of growth. Economist say it has a lot to do with the state of our economy, when times are bad people dream about instant wealth. Last year was North Carolina lottery's best year yet with $1.59 billion in sales, and about $456.8 million going back to the education fund.
