Man Charged with Six Felony Counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C.-- A Mint Hill man is behind bars in Lincoln County after failing to deliver several goods, including concert tickets, NBA jerseys and sporting event tickets.
Jason Eric Richardson, 29, turned himself into the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Monday and was charged with six felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
According to a report, Richardson promised to provide co-workers goods in exchange for an advance payment. The items were never received.
Some of the items Richardson promised but never delivered on include 15 autographed NBA jerseys, 15 autographed basketballs, Master's tickets, Duke/UNC basketball tickets and tickets to a New Kids on the Block concert. The NBA jerseys were to be used for an American Cancer Society fundraiser but were never received.
Richardson is being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
