Man Shot, Killed During AltercationCABARRUS COUNTY, N.C.-- One man is behind bars, the other dead after an argument in the yard of a Cabarrus County home. According to the Sheriff's Office, two men got into a physical altercation outside a home on Seymour Drive just after 6 p.m. Saturday night. Emergency crews responded and found Edward Putt shot in the chest. Putt was taken to Northeast Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his gunshot wounds. Alan Reid Pressley, 50, was arrested Sunday and charged with voluntary manslaughter and carrying a concealed firearm. Pressley is being held on a $250,000 bond. Deputies say alcohol appears to have been a factor in this incident. |
