Man in Custody After Robbing Local Restaurant

CHARLOTTE, NC -- On Sunday, November 25, 2012, North Division patrol officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to Northlake Mall Drive in reference to an armed robbery from the Bravo Cucina Italiana Restaurant.  Upon arrival, officers located the manager of the business who advised that she had been robbed at gun point and then tied up and left in the restaurant. She was able to escape and then called for police assistance.

During the course of their investigation, detectives identified Manuel Carranza, as the suspect. Mr. Carranza is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit RWDW and 2nd degree kidnapping.
