Mayor Foxx's Frustrations With RaleighCHARLOTTE,NC--Mayor Foxx is sounding off about what he calls Raleigh's attempt to cram an airport authority down the city's throat. Mayor Foxx says accusations about the airport's inefficiency and question's about the the city using funds from airport are baseless. He says he's also trying to figure out what and who is really behind the push to shift control of Charlotte Douglas to an authority. "We continue to see the airport as a valuable asset and I wish some of those folks that are throwing rocks inside the tent would come and take a look inside the tent," said Foxx. The bill to create a 13 member airport authority is now in the House and Mayor Foxx says he plans to meet with governor McCrory one on one to talk more about the airport and funding for Bank of America Stadium.
