MCADENVILLE, N.C.--Christmastown USA may soon be a little bit cheerier.  People pack McAdenville every year to see the holiday lights.

Now, residents want to be able to sell alcohol.  They got enough signatures to put the issue up for a vote during a special election on October 2nd.

If it's approved, malt beverages, unfortified wine and mixed drinks could be sold in restaurants and places like convenience stores and grocery stores.
