ROCK HILL, S.C.- A Mega Millions ticket holder missed out on $750,000 because they didn't spend the extra $1 on the Megaplier.

The somewhat lucky costumer bought a winning ticket worth $250,000 at the Herlong Express store in Rock Hill.

However, the ticket holder of the $250,000 had the choice to purchase the Megaplier for an extra $1, which would have turned that $250,000 into $1 million.

More than 5,900 players bought tickets in South Carolina, and more than 1,900 paid the extra dollar for the Megaplier.

Moral of the story: Don't forget the Megaplier!!!
