CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Want to party? Forget about Miami or Vegas. Hang out in the QC! Four new hot spots open up this week and people in the entertainment industry say Charlotte is the place to do business. Charlotte's newest and only mega club, Label, opened in the Music Factory . "We feel like Charlotte is ready for a club of this magnitude. To rival Miami, Vegas and the Big Apple," said Lisa Bennett, co-owner of Jewel Entertainment that runs Label. Local club and bar owners are drawn to Charlotte becomes it's growing. A similar goal for Heist Brewery -a "brew pub" that opened its doors Friday. Owners say market research shows Charlotte folks want variety. "You can go to different style bars, different parts of town, different neighborhoods. They each have their own niche," said Kurt Hogan, Heist Brewery owner. Peter Cuocolo, President of the Charlotte special events group says, "You have to have a nightlife when you have an influx of people like we have moving here." Cuocolo has seen a 20 percent spike in business since new venues opened up this year. "We're coming out of a recession at this point and people want to be happy. They want to start enjoying themselves and going out and spending money," said Cuocolo. Two other clubs also opened in the area this weekend. Volume Lounge in Plaza Midwood and Venu 29 in Concord.
