CHARLOTTE- Dressing for success is tough when you're on a budget. It's a polished look that women strive for every day. Local Style Coach, Christine Nelson, has made it her goal to help local women put their best foot forward without breaking the bank.

Last year, Nelson launched "Simply Sassy," she helps women dress for success by reinventing their wardrobe. She says women only wear about 20% of what's in their closet.

"It's really not about going out and spending all this money on clothes when you can look in  your wardrobe and really maximize what is in there," says Nelson.

One of her clients is Lorie Ward, a busy career woman. She says when it comes to fashion, finding what works for her is a struggle. "I love seeing people really accessorize; use scarves, hats, bigger jewelry, but I really didn't feel comfortable going out in it. I didn't know if I was doing it right. I felt silly," says Ward.

So she consulted with Nelson and together they talked about colors, body type and goals. Afterwards, Nelson went through Ward's closet and completely reinvented her wardrobe.

"She put together 70 outfits for me," says Ward, "She is saving me so much money! Not only am I utilizing 100% of my wardrobe, I purged the things that didn't work for me and consigned them so I'm actually making money back."

The only  updates were made with a few key accessories like belts and earrings.

To reduce the hassle of remembering every outfit, Nelson  puts together a style book with all the new looks she came up with for her clients. She says her best savings tip is to shop at a consignments stores.
