New Businesses Open Early Just for DNC
Charlotte - It wasn't easy, but Triple C Brewery owner Chris Harker sped up the construction of their new brewery. Harker says, "We're pumped to have the DNC here when we open. What better way to get your beers out to a broad market."
Harker plans to distribute their kegs to bars and restaurants during the convention. But in order to do that, they had to pick up the pace. Harker says, "We really stepped up our production on the keg side, cause we want to get beer in as many bars as possible before the convention." Tanja Novakovich and her family are hoping for a September 1st grand opening of their coffee and pastry shop on South Boulevard. Novakovich says, "Hurry up and open on time for visitors to be able to stop in." Initially, Novakovich expected their second location of Nova Bakery to take two months to open. But they cut their construction time in half to meet the DNC demand. Novacovich says, "We've been here 24/7, crews working on getting all the shelved built, all of the orders here on time, and calling vendors and saying we need this sooner."
