63-Year Old Man Dead in Southbound I-485 CrashCHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Medic responded to a fatal car crash at South I-485 inner loop and Harrisburg Road which occurred around 2:15 p.m. Thursday. The deceased was identified as 63-year old Edward Sullivan. Sullivan was the only person in the vehicle when it hit a cablewire and overturned. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from his vehicle. No other vehicles were involved. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department assisted with traffic control and the State Highway Patrol handled the accident. I-485 Southbound was closed for about 2 hours following the incident. |
