One Person Killed in East Charlotte ShootingCHARLOTTE, NC -- Detectives are investigating the scene of a deadly shooting in east Charlotte. MEDIC has confirmed there is one person deceased. According to authorities, it happened on Farm Pond Lane just after 4 p.m. Upon arrival, the victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound. They were transported to Carolinas Medical Center. This is the second homicide of the new year. There is no word yet on the cause of the shooting or if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
