Panthers' Greg Hardy Convicted of Domestic Violence, Files Appeal
CHARLOTTE, NC -- We're following a developing story from uptown Charlotte. A judge convicted Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy on domestic violence charges Tuesday.
Panthers star Greg Hardy was found guilty of assault on a female and communicating threats. A judge sentenced Hardy to 60 days in jail, suspended, and 18 months probation or completion of a rehab program.
Tuesday night, Hardy had already filed an appeal. The judge says Hardy lied about a cut on his face and made up part of the story he told 911. Investigators say Hardy attacked his on again, off again girlfriend at his uptown condo back in May.
