Panthers Tight End Greg Olsen on Got Game
Panthers TE Greg Olsen joins Kelli Bartik and Brandon Davidow on Got Game to discuss an upcoming event presented by his Receptions For Research Foundation.
Greg shares his son T.J.'s story, and talks about how it inspired him to help others by creating the Heartest Yard Fund at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
T.J. Olsen was born with a serious and often fatal heart defect. After Greg and his wife Kara took T.J. home from Levine Children’s Hospital, the family soon discovered the need, as well as the benefit, of having in-home nursing care to help care for T.J.
The HEARTest Yard Fund at Levine Children’s Hospital will extend the family centered care concept beyond the hospital walls so the transition to the home will be easier for other families with children suffering with congenital heart defects.
