Police Arrest Man for Interfering With Electronic Monitoring DeviceCHARLOTTE, NC -- A Charlotte man wanted for cutting off his electronic monitoring device has been taken into custody. Police say Jamarious Sherrill cut the monitor off on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He was wanted on outstanding warrants for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny, and for interfering with an electronic monitoring device. On Tuesday, he was arrested in a parking lot on East Independence Boulevard. According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police, Sherrill is the eighth offender to cut off his court ordered monitor in 2012. There are currently 390 offenders on court ordered electronic monitoring. |
