Police: Neighbor Spots Man Breaking into Home, Suspect ArrestedCHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A robbery suspect was caught in the act due to a neighbor calling 911 after witnessing him breaking into a home. Steven Jeffrey McCree, 48, was arrested Thursday and charged with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting public officer. Police arrived at the scene and observed a shattered window with a cinder block underneath. When they entered with the owner, McCree was found hiding behind a couch. CMPD officals say this case shows the importance of the community and police working together. People are urged to call 911 if they see or hear anything suspicious. |
