Police Search for Missing Teen

DENVER, N.C.-- Detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office are asking for any information that leads to finding a missing teenage girl.

Amanda Marie Atkins, 16, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at her home on Lake Shore Road South. According to a release, she left her room through the window sometime before 10:20 p.m.

Atkins is described as a white female with blond hair, green eyes, 5 feet 1 inch tall and approximately 115 pounds.

She is believed to be in Gaston or Lincoln County. Anyone with information about the Atkins' whereabouts is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050
