CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Authorities identified two teenagers killed by a train on Monroe Road early Sunday morning.

Hannah Elizabeth Rigley, 18, and Arielle Mckenzie Troutman, 16, were identified Monday afternoon after family notification.

Police say the incident occurred on 8500 block of Monroe Road after the engineer says he saw possible persons sleeping on the tracks. Reports say the engineer tried to make an emergency stop but it was too late.

Medics pronounced the two dead after being found under the train around 4 a.m.

Homicide detectives ruled out any foul play in this incident.
