CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A piece of Hollywood in East Charlotte? An Investor hasn't given up on his dream to turn Eastland Mall into a movie studio.

Bert Hesse, the President of Central Ave Studios, has big plans and the community had a chance to hear them Thursday night. Hesse says the studio's main priority would be to bring jobs to Charlotte and make the city a main filming destination.

The City of Charlotte bought Eastland Mall for $13.2 million. A movie studio is one plan for the property, but a full proposal has not been released.
