FORT MILL, SC -- The grocery store wars have heated up. Publix, a Florida supermarket giant, has officially stepped into the competition.
Stores in Fort Mill and Indian Land opened Wednesday. In addition to the usual deli and bakery, there's free wi-fi and a cafe.
Publix also plans to open a Charlotte store. It has reportedly leased space in the Ballantyne Town Center.
