Resignations Follow Internal Investigation of Caldwell County Sheriff's OfficeCALDWELL COUNTY, N.C.-- Six individuals with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office resigned after an internal investigation into the department. According to a release, four Sheriff’s Office personnel and two communications personnel submitted resignations to Sheriff Alan Jones. Due to a confidential personnel matter, the results of the investigation will not be released. “We will regret the loss of these officers but it will not affect services to the citizens of the county,” Sheriff Jones said in a statement. In other department news, Sergeant William J. Fore was promoted to division commander of the patrol division with the rank of Captain after a reorganization that took place in the Sheriff's Office. |
