CHARLOTTE, NC -- An event scheduled to attract thousands, has been canceled due to low ticket sales.

In a statement received on Thursday, a Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority spokesperson said, the event was canceled on Wednesday by the CRVA after the event organizers did not meet the terms of the contract.

However, John Snyder, the attorney for the Rock the Red organization says the event was publicized incorrectly, resulting in low ticket sales, and that there was no publicity help from the CRVA.

The concert was scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, at the Bojangles Coliseum. Some of the acts included country music stars Lee Brice, Travis Tritt and the Charlie Daniels Band.

Organizers did not say if there would a change of venue. Rock the Red organizers said for those that purchased tickets, to email refunds@rockthered.com.
