CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Scott Luther's daughter Christina Morris is slowly emerging from a coma at Carolina's Medical Center in Myers Park. "We pray expectantly and whole heartedly that she'll have a full recovery but we have been told she'll never be what she was," said Luther.

Morris has been in the hospital with critical injuries since a car crash on September 19th. The 21 year old was on her way to study Spanish with a friend when a driver as part of what troopers say was a road rage incident hit her and took off. Morris's lungs were punctured, her ribs were broken and she had a stroke and brain injury.

But, as her mom points out, it could have been much worse. "It just gives me hope she's still here for a reason. I keep looking to end of recovery.  I hope we also see a miracle in her recovery,"said Darlene Luther. From a mother's hopes for a speedy recovery to a father's message for the driver
still at large. "Somebody out there knows or suspects something. Or If you can just imagine that your daughter or wife or mother lying there. Whatever you have to do. Just put your self in their shoes and you'd want somebody else to come forward that's what somebody needs to do," Scott Luther said.

Witnesses say the hit and run driver was behind the wheel of a silver S.U.V. If you have any information, police want you to call Crime Stoppers. There is a two-thousand-dollar reward.
