CONCORD, N.C.--Search crews spent hours looking for a missing person in a pond near
Highway 49 and Old Charlotte Highway. Police received a tip that a body could be found there. Private Investigator Kevin Ryan says Police have not yet told the family of Crystal Morrison if this search could be related to her disappearance.

"Anytime you go out and do any type of search, no matter if it's for the case you're  currently working or for a case in another state your efforts are going to focus on your own hometown area," said Ryan.

Crystal Morrison has been missing since August 23rd. She was last seen working here at Connextions Recruiting in Concord. One area where the private investigator plans to search for clues.

"I'll interview everybody that has a relation with her.  Family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances. Basically start from square one again," Ryan said.

On Wednesday family members admitted for the first time that Crystal battled drug issues in her past. Her dad says that happened years ago and doesn't think that's the case now.

Investigators are also looking into human trafficking as a possible cause of her disappearance.
"We wanna turn the heat up on this. This something that we want to bring closure to," Ryan said.
