Search Underway For Killer In Northwest Charlotte
by Kirk Hawkins

CHARLOTTE, NC--Blood stains remain on the front door of the Tennessee Avenue home where this man had a rude awakening, "He kept banging on the door. He was like I'm dying, I'm dying," the 19 year old didn't want his identity revealed, as he described the shooting victim who ended up on his front porch, "He was up against the glass. On the window. He was just bleeding," he said.

CMPD says the victim was shot at least five times inside his Nissan sedan. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Myers Park, and admitted to surgery, but later pronounced dead. All after the man, home alone at the time, told a 911 operator what happened without opening the door.
"It kinda came out of nowhere. I was really nervous. I didn't know what  was going on cause I was half asleep. I'm trying not to think about it. I think I'll be alright," he said.

Now, this witness is left with more questions than answers as he worries about who is responsible.
"He could be anywhere. He could do it to somebody else.  I don't know the reason behind the shooting. It's crazy," he said.

Police have not yet identified the shooter or shooters.
