Security Issue Resolved on US Airways Flight
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A security issue on a US Airways flight headed to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport has been resolved. According to a spokesperson with the airline, the incident happened on flight 114 from Boston to Charlotte. The plane was supposed to continue to Chicago.
Passengers arrived at the airport around 5:31 p.m on Wednesday. Officials say all of the passengers were taken off the plan and bused to the terminal where they were rescreened.
Passengers and CMPD officers said that someone had made a bomb threat.
Authorities with the Federal Bureau of Investigations say there was no indication that the incident was a threat to public safety. We are told one person was questioned. There is no word if any arrests have been made.
