BOONE, NC- It's springtime in Boone.
Scraping windows, salting roads and shivering in the snow.
"The 'ready to be over it' syndrome is something that we typically get into about this time of year," said Mike Sweeting, a Boone resident.
For families like the Critchers, the spring snowstorm means school is closed... again.
"It makes us have a shorter summer, it's all the way until like June 11 when we get out now, but then again... no school!" said sixth grader Ashlynn Critcher.
Kids in Avery and Watauga counties had their 18th snow day of the year on Monday. Ashe county students stayed home for the 15th time.
All three districts are already extending the school year into June to make up the days and there could be more.
