CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Kyle Fuller is hoping his golf swing is going to help him get into a good college."If you don't have personal goals what  are you getting out to accomplish in your day," said the 17 year old Huntersville resident.

A few months ago, Kyle began working with a life skills coach to help him prepare for college. His father, Micah, said he's already noticed a difference. "I feel that when Kyle goes to college he is going to be light years ahead of young men and women," said Micah Fuller.

The coaches emphasize time management skills as part of the transition  from high school to college life. "Our job is to develop the awareness and knowledge and transition  that awareness and knowledge in the long term skill set that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives," said ChoicePoint Achievement CEO Bob Henricks

North Carolina's S.A.T. scores have declined over the last few years, and there are concerns students aren't prepared to read as much as college courses demand. Kyle Fuller said he's ready, "I think if I'm able to keep these good habits up, it will translate and make that transition into college," he said.

ChoicePoint Achievement said the training begins with classroom work. For more information about their coaching sessions: www.choicepointachievement.com
