For that reason, Superintendent Heath Morrison wants to keep CMS on track to properly prepare all kids. Morrison insists the district's making all attempts to re-enroll former dropouts. He also want the district to continue considering year-round classes for struggling schools. Morrison also applauds the advancement by way of the Individual Determination Program. Known as "AVID," the program prepares student to not only get into college, but to graduate.
