CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Shelly Domenech of IC London sells a lot of lingerie every Valentine's Day.
But, she can't know if the sexy gifts go to mistresses. "Oh gosh, I hope not. Yeah, that would be really uncomfortable," said Domenech.

Uncomfortable is an unfortunate reality for Private Investigator Kathy Broom. Broom says February 14th is the busiest day of the year for her to serve papers for divorces, alimony and child support.
"I think it's because of the emotion that comes around with Valentine's Day.  I think that people have had love with that person before and now they are hurt or disappointed," said Broom.

In the flower business, nothing compares to V-Day. And nothing is a surprise to Meagan Mullin,
"People like to send them without a signature, they like to be anonymous. They like to...Just not include a name. All kinds of things," she said. Sometimes that can make her boss at The Blossom Shop, "I've been doing this a long time. I've seen that happen a lot," said Ted Todd.

Panties and petunias. Not every Valentine's gift is as rosy as it seems this time of year.
