Suspicious Package Found at Winthrop UniversityCHARLOTTE, NC -- A suspicious package duct-taped to a fountain caused a commotion at Winthrop University. Campus police are looking into how the box got there. It was discovered in front of Tillman Hall. People were told to avoid the area. An x-ray showed the box was not a threat. The school sent an email to students saying there would be a slight interruption, but no classes were canceled. |
