CHARLOTTE, NC- Family members of 18 year-old Kevin Washington cried and prayed Monday night at the spot where a bullet took his life early Sunday morning.

Two other teens, Garrett Hall and Tevin Horton, got hurt when fists started flying outside a party on timbertop lane in the Bristol Farms neighborhood.

One neighbor says she's never seen so many people in the neighborhood at one time who don't belong. Another neighbor says there was at least a hundred people inside and outside the home between Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Butler says the party had disaster written all over it. "Probably alcohol played a role," said Butler.

Butler heard the gun shots and can see the spot where washington died from his front door.

"I closed the door really quick. Then I looked out the window and seen like a hundred people just running down the street," said Butler.

17 year-old Jesus Nava and his brother say the neighborhood is family-friendly and usually quiet. At football practice Monday, his coach, who also coached one of the victims turned the tragedy into to a lesson.

"He basically said we should watch out for who we hang out with. Like at parties and on weekends," said Nava.

Nava says his mom is now setting a new curfew for him and his brother.

Neighbors say they do not think this was a gang related crime.

Police have not identified a suspect.
