Three Arrested in Union County Drug Bust

WAXHAW, NC -- After a month-long drug trafficking investigation Narcotics investigators with the Union County Sheriff’s Office have arrested three suspects. Deputies say they made numerous undercover purchases of cocaine and ecstasy from a residence on Friday night. A large seizure of contraband was taken from within the residence. Officers seized over $3,000 in cash, a stolen .357 revolver, and in excess of 700 dosage units of the drug ecstasy. Cocaine, marijuana, and drug manufacturing paraphernalia were also seized.

Investigators say Lewis Alexander and Frederick Neal were found living at a home on South Providence Road in Waxhaw and immediately arrested. A third suspect, Roderick Brown of Charlotte, was also arrested and identified as a fugitive from justice, wanted on federal indictments for drug conspiracy.

Lewis Alexander has been charged with six counts of Trafficking in MDA/MDMA (ecstasy), two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Felony Maintain Dwelling to Store/Sell Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Frederick Neal has been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Roderick Brown was arrested on the charge of Fugitive from Justice.
